MASTA version 5.2 released
We are pleased to announce the release of version 5.2 of MASTA
Our comprehensive gearbox and transmission design and analysis software. Recently certified as ‘Compatible with Windows 7’, MASTA 5.2 builds on the success of previous versions and includes numerous improvements and new features including:
- Automatic gear micro geometry optimisation
- Parametric Study Tool for 1 or 2 dimensional parametric studies for power flow, system deflection and advanced system deflection
- Increased performance through making use of multiple processors
- Addition of spline design to SAE/ANSI B92.1, DIN 5480 and JIS B 1603
- Interference fit design and rating according to DIN 7190
- Inclusion of cylindrical gear rating for pitting, bending and scuffing according to DIN 3990
- Enhancement of the MASTA gear database – inclusion of default materials as specified in EN10083, ASTM A48, ASTM A536 GB/T 3077
- Enhanced dynamic response results for Gear Whine Analysis
- Improved accuracy of cylindrical gear mesh analysis
- Inclusion of gear twist effects in misalignment calculations
- System deflection gear mesh stiffness calculation
