NVH Basics
21 May 2020 – BST 06:00 or BST 14:00  – 2 hours maximum duration 
  • Aimed at those inexperienced with NVH analysis, this course will discuss the basic concepts in preparation for the more detailed MASTA NVH training.
  • Topics covered will include; NVH basic theory, transmission error, harmonics, orders, NVH testing, etc
  • Format: Presentations from SMT with opportunity for questions
NVH Theory in MASTA

26 May 2020 – BST 06:00 or BST 14:00  – 3 hours maximum duration 
  • An overview of the NVH theory utilised by MASTA, covering;
  • Basic & Advanced LTCA
  • Transmission Error
  • Dynamic Mesh Forces
  • Test process & Test data explained
  • Format: Presentations from SMT with opportunity for questions
MASTA NVH Mode

28 May 2020 – BST 06:00 or BST 14:00  – 4 hours maximum duration 
  • Using MASTA’s NVH mode – Analysis set up, results options, other usage tips.
  • Modelling for NVH – best practices
    • This will consist of summary recaps of relevant sections of the modelling & FE workshops
  • Importing and analysing electric machine data
  • Format: Multiple classroom sessions followed by hands-on breakout sessions overseen by SMT
NVH Optimisation using MASTA_Part 1
02 June 2020 – BST 06:00 or BST 14:00  – 3 hours duration 
“NVH Optimisation using MASTA” sessions are designed to implement the skills obtained during the previous NVH training sessions. These sessions will contain no live tutorials, however are designed to simulate a true Workshop. Participants are invited to perform a structured and simplified NVH analysis on a specially constructed model.
SMT trainers will be on hand to answer questions and guide NVH optimisation process during this participant driven hands-on learning opportunity.

Agenda:

  • Project overview – A review of provided test data and project guidance.
  • Modelling – Participants prepare a demonstration model for NVH analysis with guidance from SMT trainers when required.
  • Correlation – Participants work towards achieving results correlation between (simulated) test data and their MASTA model with guidance from SMT trainers when required.
  • Optimisation – Participants work towards improving the demo model’s NVH performance using a range of suggested optimisation routes. Guidance from SMT trainers when required.
