SMT hosted their second North America User Forum on the 10 October 2019 at the General Motors Heritage Centre in Detroit, Michigan. The forum was a great success and had a range of attendees and customers who were looking to learn more about the new and emerging developments of SMT, industry trends and the latest developments of SMT’s CAE software, MASTA.

With the interest in MASTA continually growing, this is a further step in the development of SMT following the opening of the new office in Troy, Michigan last year, as well as the increased user base at mature customers and new customers across North America.

Presentations from SMT included an overview of recent and new functionality in MASTA and scripting functionalities, the latest development in the recent software release, MASTA 10.

It was also delightful to have a number of customer presentations showcasing their experience of using MASTA in both academic and design projects including, ‘reducing EV powertrain noise without compromising efficiency’, ‘TRB preload selection with fitting and thermal effect’s, and a ‘review and comparison of LTCA in commercial gear software’.

“The 2019 North America User Forum was a huge success with both internal and customer support.

SMT would like to thank our customer presenters that showed how MASTA software was instrumental in their design and analysis workflow.

During the event it was exciting to speak with all the attendees to hear how much they enjoyed the information within the presentations and the opportunity to network with like-minded industry experts.

I would like to thank everyone that attended, presented and supported the forum behind the scenes.

Watch this space for information on future Webinars, Local Workshops and the 2020 North America User Forum!”
